my device can't reach my journal

your device needs to reach your journal. first check that the computer running the journal is awake and reachable from the device you are using.

on the computer that runs the journal, open a terminal and run:

journal doctor

read the result before changing anything. if it identifies something you can fix by restarting, restart the whole journal:

journal down && journal up

then run journal doctor again. if the journal is healthy but only one device cannot connect, check its registration:

solstone call link list shows every paired device with its last-seen time; solstone call link authorized-clients shows the same device's connection fingerprint and label. if the device you're checking is missing, or its last-seen time is far older than expected, it needs to be paired again. if it still cannot reach the journal, file a request at https://support.solstone.app/ and include the journal doctor result after removing anything you do not want to share.
